School's Starting !!

School's starting in exactly a week's time and I'm proud to say I am excited! My days will then be packed with lectures and tuitions and I'll no longer be too bored being stuck at home! Hah!

Eyed on a few phones recently but am still uncertain on which to get.

Any recommedations?

Attended Andrew's ROM dinner last Thursday at Brio's Cafe in Copthrone Waterfront Hotel. I must say the buffet is GOOD!

Super loved the:

-Clam Chowder,
-Cheese selection platter, especially the Port Salut!
-Salmon Sashimi, super fresh and tasty
-Fresh Oysters, the only oysters served that I did not puke out after swallowing!
-Steam Prawnss, very fresh ah!

Think I ate like about 30pieces of Salmon, 10crackers with lotsa sliced cheese and 6oysters!

I'm so going back there! And anyone in for to have a cheese+red wine party at my place?

House Warming

I cannot remember when was the last time I've been to a house warming party! Might be 3years back? In Jurong when Chester and his family upgraded to a HDUC apartment.

Just last weekend, we attened a house warming party cum birthday celebration at my Aunt's place. I was all excited! Not because of the food or the type of house, but because I can finally see Potato!

Teehee. Potato is my Aunt's newly acquired Golden Retriever! If I'm not wrong, he should be at about 5months of age.

Adorable isn't he?

(okay, I kinda love my smile here, all the pain and $4.5K was worth it!)

Other animals in the house!

The mean female-detesting talking parrot.

2 large tortoise

And the pair of budgies.

She has another dog, a Papilion. Such a Dao-gei dog that I could not even capture a shot of him, let alone touch him. Haha!

Mahjong-ed after food and I lost like $70+ for the 1.5rounds of game! Biggest loss ever! Makan-ed at the nearby seafood place and it was yummilicious and thoughtful for the pockets!

We had:

- Cereal Prawns
- Marmi Chicken
- Sambal Kangkong
- Hotplate Tofu
- 5 bowls of white rice

all these for $47++ and it fills 5 persons tummy fully!

Drinks and beer were paid by the biggest winner! Haha, but still all thanks to me cos I was the biggest loser loh! BLEAH!

Dinner @ Grandpa's place later!

Ciao,
michelle

Excursion!

When was the last time we actually went on a excursion? Many many months back I guess, and all these time, weekends were spent on shopping and on lotsa food which had made me heavier by the days. So being the recent health/weight conscious me, I suggested a trip to Ubin.

It was a gloomy Saturday morning, nevertheless, we headed out with much anticipation. And this was what my 'Haolian' man wore out that day.

Decided to settle down for lunch @ KFC, which was such an unhealthy way to start of a healthy day!

Bus-ed down to Changi from Sengkang, and it took about 20minutes I think. SK is becoming much acessible but still, I hate taking the LRT!
Nike Visor bought by Chris just because I wanted to wear a cap out that day, and he misplaced my Mizuno white cap which I lent it to him sometime back when he went blading.

At the Changi Jetty!

Haolian man in the boat.

Rented 2 bicycles for $14 until 630pm. I was quite a steal as the previous girl whom we asked, quoted us $20! And when I told Chris to look around first, the girl went "Here all the same one, standard price, sure cannot find anything cheaper." Cheh! I helped Chris saved $6 by walking 10more steps. Haha.

Ubin is a good place to get away from the Urban City. But I wished there were better amenities. Prolly the Village Head should market it better as a 'Singaporean Tourist' place of attraction.

Love this! Kinda candid.

Water point! Coconuts = must have!

After an hour or so, I was feeling super tired tired already!

And this was what happened. He had to push my bike. KaKaKa.

100plus! The life saver!

This is what Ubin looked like 5mins after we returned the bicycles.

I swear I could feel my bones defragmented the night after the trip. It hurt like hell when I tried getting out of bed heading to the toilet! Each step was like a torture! I'm so gonna start keeping fit! Hah!

Some cutsy pictures to end the post!

Thought I lost camera!

Stupid Boyfriend! Didn't update me that my Lumix [the smaller camera] was still in his bag! I was frantically searching for it as I had wanted to blog today about the happenings since last week!

I guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow then.

Meanwhile, here are some updates that my rusty brain can remember:

- paid school fees and am eagerly waiting for school to start in July!

- met up with the girls [leen & mel] in town and had superb catch up session @ Waraku & Starbucks

- attended 'Gugu's' [daddy's sister] wedding dinner at Laguna Country club, was fun especially the K-ing before and after Dinner! & did I mentioned the Red Wine that was served that night was superb too?

- got dragged by Boyfriend to go running, thighs aching since Sunday night!

- aunt came back from Ipoh and we had great time makaning @ Ichiban Boshi

- completed the Korean f4 drama!

That's about it. Pictures will only be up in the next post! Tataa!

Fab Weekends!

Trained down one weekend afternoon to Vivocity. Caught the Movie Friday the 13th. Quite scary, but after a while, it wasn't that intense anymore as they've revealed the killer's face too often.

Marche again! Sorry only 2 shots as the stupid battery konked out before I could take more.

One fine afternoon, my Mom decided to disturb Sundae. Look at Sundae's sian face! WHAHAHAHA Priceless!

Grandma wants her to be super model, the dog who does catwalks!

Just last friday, I've got a call from an unknown caller. Upon hearing her first word, I immediately guilty!

She was my Godmom. She babysat me since I was born till the age of 8! And ever since my parents hored a maid from I was 6, my visits to their place in Bukit Batok became scarce! She doted me as if I was her own, and I think that's partly because she has 3 sons and no daughter. The other reason was obvious lah, how can anyone resist my cuteness right!

BLEAH! Anyways, had a short chat with her, and then decided that I should visit her the very next day as I do not want to procrastinate the visit anymore.

I felt so welcomed, and so loved there! My goduncle and godbro were there. And I gotten to know that since I told MAMA [tt's what I addressed her since young] I'll be coming, she's been announcing it to everyone that came in contact with her and to those who knew me since young.

It was like a scenario where I've been overseas for 5years and finally come home! Heee.. Even Chris thought so!

The whole afternoon, I was showered with food and phone calls! MAMA fried noodles and finger food for all of us and exclusively fed me a hard boiled egg! I suddenly felt so loved.

I promise I'll visit them again soon. I miss my Popo too! Remember how I used to tag along with her to work. Those memories will be etched to my mind forever.

We left Bukit Batok after 3hours+ then headed to Chris' place for KFC dinner. Hahaha. I don't know why I always feel out of place when I go there. :P Left quite early and went to pick Mom up from work at 10pm since we used her car for the whole day[I gave her 10bucks for cab okay!].

Sunday came and it was Mother's Day! We went Kbox Buffet at Leisure Park with Mom and my maternal side relatives. Was fun, but not worth it cos the time limit was 4 hours, from 6pm to 10pm, no matter how big a crowd you have. we had like 13 pax and the time is not enough for all of us to sing till we're satisfied!

So when the lady came to tell it's time for our last song, we said okay, but dragged and dragged till it was about 1115pm before we were actually being chased out. HAha! Price was approximately $28 per person. Sashimi wasn't nice, dim sum was so-so and dessrt was cheapo.

This weeked will most likely be spent at Dad's place. Heh, been trying my hands on some dessert soup and I want Dad to try it. On the way take $$ to pay school fees next week also lah. Kekeke.

More of Sundae baby's pictures! She's like a dead dog in the day! Only knows how to sleep sleep sleep!

Happy to the Max!

Who would thought that it'll be such a great weekend afterall!

We were all supposed to go to Er Yi's house for steamboat dinner, but due to whatever reasons, the plan was changed. Instead, we went to meet Daddy for dinner. Yeap, Mom + me + bf + siblings + Dad! Although no longer one happy family, it's great just to dine like this, with Mom and Dad on good talking terms.

We had good time catching up with one another, and the best thing was, while Dad nagged at Bro & Sis about studies and picking up useful skills, he suddenly turned to me!

DANG! Not working, not studying, just rotting away daily, he's not gonna be pleased. So I meekly asked him if so, would you let me go study accounts? He was like "Ok lah, you wanna study, $15,000 [maximised budget] is not a problem."

Wah, I was utterly surprised loh!

So Kaplan, get ready for ME! Muahahahahaa! Gonna register next week along with my cousin. Hope we'll motivate each other along. Kekeke.

So excited!

Then it was supposed to be a dinner gathering at my Ah-Ma's place. We slept till 1230pm andsaw many missed calls and messages from my bro saying that it had changed to lunch. A bit reluctant to head down to Eunos from Sengkang, but we still went ahead.

And to make the long story short, we had Abalone & Shark's fin for lunch. :D

a happy girl
