Call me! Sms me!

Ooh-la-laa~~

Went Chinatown yesterday. How Aunty/Uncle can we get?

But hey! Things there are SUPER DUPER cheap and value for money okay! Except for some blacklisted vendors.

Mango-pomelo-ed at the dessert shop in chinatown, and in search of a water/camel bag, we headed to the old shopping centre[dunno what is it called :P].

First shop we popped into, only had 2 pieces left. Both branded Nalgene. One has a price tag of $147 [i think] and the other has no tagged on, it looked nicer too.

Picked that up, and we asked the uncle

"How much ah, this water bag?"

uncle 1 searched for price tag, unsuccessful, turned to uncle 2 who seems like the boss

"$79 I sell to you lah, very good deal, this one branded."

Chris still zipping the bag around, fiddling with the water pouch & sucktion mouthpiece

"Wah, so expensive ah. Beach road there sell cheaper leh uncle."

"Beach Road there selling how much? You quote uncle a price lah, if suitable then uncle sell it to you. I wanna clear this cos it's not sellable here in Chinatown."

Chris very daring loh! He likes to play negotiation games, and he did just that like what he did in BKK.

"$49 lah." [He dared quote $49 when his colleagues got theirs from Beach Road between $60odd to $70odd]

"Ok lah, sell to you. This is sure way below cost. Very good buy."

Chris still thinking. The bag seems to be on displayed since eons ago!

THEN! While zipping & pulling out stuffs from the pockets of the bag, Uncle2 seems to spot a price tag! Guess what it says?

Freaking $116 !!

BUT!

Uncle2 was very nice lah. He say since agreed to sell to us already, he'll still stick to his words. And yeap, so he paid $49 for a Nalgene water bag which was tagged at $116.

*Happy*

Me holding onto the "laoya" Z3 phone which was given to Chris which he handed it down to me when I lost my e65, and him holding onto the super basic LG mini toy lookalike phone which have problems receiving sms at times, we decided to shop around for phones!

Phones there also very cheap hoh! But non of the Nokia/Sumsung/SongEricsson caught our eyes, then chanced upon a shop selling some China made phones.

This uncle and XiaoMei very bad. Tried to carrot chop our heads. The phone looks nice, can watch TV, got FM, big screen, resolution also looks good, surround sound, able to play mp4 & whatsnot.

The best of all, the rest of the shops int he building doesn't carry it. So when asked, he quoted us $330 per handset without contract & without trade in as well.

He even offered us a more attractive price if we were to purchase 2 handsets.

Sounds pretty attractive huh. But we didn't buy. Cuz

number1 $330 for a handset is CHEAP, but for a China made, don't be too sure.

number2 haven researched enough for China made handsets

number3 the 2 people there looks so happy when we had interest in it, but face changed when we told them we'll walk around somemore.

Chris suddenly remembered there's a shop selling China Made phones at AMK Central. So we headed back just out of curiousity while on the way there to purchase some baking trays.

And you know what?!! The guy selling soley China made phones quoted us only $228 for the same handset! With free screen protector & a disney phone pouch!

Now, now, it's geting cheaper and more appealing to just buy it on the spot.

Bought our stuffs and went back to the shop. Asked for a better price since we're getting 2 handsets. Lowest price he coukd offer was $220 per handset. Still cheap lah, for a pretty, touch screen, TVmobile & unique phone.

Mine's the purple, his the black.

Aunty Vivian and her other niece got so tempted by the phone lah. Especially when it's dual sim. Good for them cos they have Malaysia Sim card also.

Gonna bring them down to buy later in the afternoon. I'll ask for a better deal! Hiakhiak!

Recently, gotten quite into baking.

So for starters, tried out pork cookies for the dogs. Basically, very simple lah, just mix everything in, cut the right shape with the right thickness, baked until done, and VOILA!

Chris did most of the cutting. Hee..

The 2 pigs at home loves it. But not good judges, cos they're so ever greedy. But when I brougt some over for Rio to try, he ate it without hesitations!

*having a great sense of achievement now*dance*dance*

Shall bake meatloaf for them the next time. Banana & chocolate muffins coming up!

happy baker
