Xmas' coming

It's near the end of the year again, and soon in 3 weeks time, I'm gonna turn 23(oh my gosh! did I just typed 23?! yikes!). Looking back, this year went well and I have no regrets with which ever path I had chose to take.

Xmas is the time of giving and although I've already spent quite a substantial amount off my bank account getting his birthday present just a month ago, I sacrificed a bit more just for a lil surprise on the 25th.

We kinda agreed on smaller presents this Christmas because of the above, and that he had also bought me a phone 2weeks back, I can't bring myself asking for more. But of cos, I still hope for a tiny surprise this weekend.

Gonna head into JB on Boxing Day with Mom + Aunt & family + Chris & siblings, it's like a family outing! I'm feeling so excited already just thinking about it! Gonna get more Wii games and accessories and try to stock up on some cheap grocery over there. Not forgetting cheap and nice seafood to end the day.

I'm feeling kinda upset right now. I guess it's time to let go.

My Fujitsu laptop of almost 4years is REALLY dying. I tried upgrading the ram from 512 to 1gb a few months ago and it went well, but now it starts up and shuts down really slowly and when I try to load a web page, it would take forever before it's fully loaded. And the moment I click on a link, the webpage hangs!

I'm currently using Chris' netbook to blog and do my stuffs, but it just doesn't feel the same. Sigh. He mentioned about getting me a desktop, as CPU performs better than a laptop. I wonder if I should, cos I hate the monitor and CPU collecting dust, and not to mention, the messy wires and it'll be taking up more space than a laptop. Moreover, it ain't portable.

But if it's gonna be a iMac, then I wont mind lah. It's like a all-in-1 you know. It it looks minimalistic and it's just great!

*hint*hint*

Got the Iphone!

Cute? They love squishing during their sleep

Sometimes Dumpty likes being alone, but still, squished.

*laughs*

She sure likes to be in the weirdest sleeping position and unthnkable moves/stunts during play. Sundae and I am amused each time she's awake and active, but she doesn't like being handled, would siam and run super fast from our hands. Might be a marathon runner in the past. keke.

Humpty eats and sleeps all day, but she loves being handled by us. She tried grabbing and holding onto Chris' finger last night when hetried to stroke her. Then ended up carrying her, so fun!

Chris bought me the Iphone on Saturday. Queue isn't mad in Compass point, but I still had to wait for over 2hours before seeing the phone lah.

Got free X'mas mug from them, very nice loh, was tempted to ask them to give me another one, but decided I shouldn't, cos that'll make me look so Auntie! But the mug is really nice mah!

See...

They have the orange colour one too!

Went shopping for my Iphone's LEATHER FLIP CASING at Tampinese yesterday. Nubox damn expensive, so we just looked around. Headed to Tenchi, 1 @ $19.90, 2 @ $29.90.

Bought 2, cos Chris say standby for his Iphone which he might be getting 3 months later.

Luckily I tried the leather case outside the shop! The camera hole ain't aligned to the Iphone's camera! So I went back to change.

Opened one after another, tried one after another still the same! Sibei tulan and black face liao, especially those cover SCRATCHED my phone! WTH! I tried witholding my unhappiness after the sales girl cleaned them off with Zippo, but Chris said my face still looked very "chao tah".

The sales girl tried to psycho me to take the Silicon back casing, as the cam hole sure will be aligned on that. So BO PIAN, I chose a fake white Paul Frank silicon cover and walked out.

SUPER BO HUA LOH! Outside this type of silicon covers $10 only, max $12. Felt like I was cheated leh! And why didn't I asked for a refund? Idiot me!

And the best thing is? We went to Challenger after that AND! saw icoat (back cover + screen protector) at only $24 LAH!

Sian to the max! Totally no mood liao. Chris offered to buy me the icoat, but like waste double the money, so I tell him to get it when my white silicon case turns yellow.

Sigh!

Anyways, I'm having fun with the phone. But battery life is really damn short! I got it fully charged @ 11am yesterday, and by the time I slept @ 12midnight, it was 17%. And when I woke up this morning at 9plus, it was long gone!

Gotta get to the housework now, Chris applied had leave since thursday and housework had been neglected ever since then due to exams and shopping. :P

Tattaz!

Humpty Dumpty

Meet Humpty & Dumpty Sundae's Pearl White Winter White hamsters!

Damn cute can! Humpty(timid and quieter one) will squeek and then put up both hands and then fake dead when Dumpty(super active and curious one) goes too near or step all over her. Haha!

Exceeded my budget for them lah! Why?!
Cos I went down to Yishun Interchange, thinking it's a neighbourhood, hammies shld be sold cheaper right? But I was so wrong, they're selling $20 for each pearl!
And so I headed down to Northpoint. They had 2 pearls, 3 normal and 1 sapphire winter whites. The normal and safyer fits my budget, $20 for a pair. But I didn't ultra like them. The sales guy very smart loh, he said "better buy something you like than something cheap but don't really like" which is very true lah.
Imagine if I bought the grey ones and don't feel shiok, even more waste of money. :P
And so I got a them @ $36 for a pair. Plus the food bowl and the cow head housing, total busted $47.
Total hamster damage almost hit $90. But it's damn cute to sit and watch them play.
Alright, I really needa stay away from this laptop, tmr is my 1st paper already
Tataz~

Sundae needs a pet!

You didn't read me wrong.

When my cousins were here, they had a Syrian hamster in a cage placed on the TV console and Sundae's favourite past time was to stand and watch him. It made her less bored and tired her out in the late evenings as she gets so excited whenever the hamster start running on his wheel that she jumped and jumped non stop just to get a closer view.

Now that all of them are gone, Sundae is looking really bored. Other than when there's food or walks, most of the times she'd just lay around the house and sleep. We've decided to get her pet hamsters!

We decided on the winter white breed, pearl or sapphire is fine but I don't want the normal ones. They're just too normal. :P

So after visiting Chris' parents' place yesterday, we headed down to Serangoon North in search of the hammies and their necessities.

Sundae waiting patiently in her bag while we got ready.

Crossing the road towards the bus stop

We've gotten the basic stuffs ready, just short of a food bowl and the pair of hammies.

Ready :
Tank (2nd-hand) - $10
Silent wheel - $8.50
Toilet - $5
Toilet/Bathe sand - $8.90
Food - $4.90
Bottle - $4.90
CornCob bedding (not in pic) - $6.90
Sub-Total - $42.70 (after shop discount)

Need to get :
Food bowl (Daiso) - $2
Pair of Hamsters - $20
Sub-Total - $22

Total - $64.70

Wah! It's like damn expensive when they're all added up together. But on the brighter side, my aunt got the Syrian and all his stuffs at a whopping $130++.

Ta-daaa! This should be comfortable for a pair of dwarfs.

I'm still considering whether if we should adopt adults or purchase baby ones from shops, and also whether to get 1 or 2 hammies. What do you peeps think, lend me your inputs. Thanks. :)

Being home all day gives me time to try recipes. Hehe! This is Steamed Chicken in D.O.M Liquor and Fried French Bean with Eggs.

This is for sale. Anyone interested? All the way from the U.S.A. Chris bought the wrong size and Sundae ended looking like a tightly sealed sausage after putting this on. Super wasted can! We liked this so much. Going for SGD$25. Picture doesn't do it justice. Will fit dogs 4kg and below. :) It's about a pampet size 3.

Lunch, then to the books

It's Brownie's First!

We brought Lil Missy Brown home around this time last year. When she was still so tiny and afraid of us, and when her ears were too long for her small frame.

A year past by so fast! Since we don't know her real birth date, her Papa decided it shuld be on the 20th November, and so he reminded me to celebrate her birthday.

I don't know if rabbits take real cakes, so I made something else that she'd definitely enjoy.

3-tier banana 'cake'! (the candle is a shred of carrot!)

She was really excited the moment I peeled the banana! Look how anxious she was! Couldn't even snap a proper picture!

Now's she's such a big girl already(I think she weighs at least 2+kg), and has become super "yang-orh" (manja) and readily asks for pats whenever we walk pass her cage. Sometimes I even caught her lowering her head for Sundae to lick. Sisterly love!

Not to mention, she's a true blue Holland Lop with an attitude!

brownie: who say this poop is mine?!

Her present will come when her Papa comes home from USA. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Brownie! We love you!

Let's Cook!

Here's another dish I cooked by inprovising on a recipe via the net. Tasted really good!

You'll need:

1 potato, half a carrot and a garlic

Cube the tofu - plain or egg-ed is fine.

sliced the potato (cooks easier this way) cube the carrot. I added 2 strip of green pepper to flavour the dish

Now for the chicken(you can use pork if you like)
I used 2 breast fillets(the size of LJS chicken), marinated with
1/2 tablespoon of oyster sauce
1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon of dark soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon of sugar (can put honey if you like)
a dash of salt and pepper

Mix well and let it sit for a minimum of 1hour

Stir fry these with enough oil.
Take it out once cooked

Add in garlic, when it starts to turn brown, add in chicken.
once the outsides are cooked, add back the potato+carrots
add about 1tablespoon of light soy sauce and 3/4cup of water
Let it come to a boil

Once it boils, turn the fire to low and add in tofu on top of the rest of the ingredients.
Cover it up. It'll be ready in 5mins.

I like my potatoes soft soft, so I simmered it double the recommended time.
Serves 2 person as a side dish. :)

love cooking, hate washing

Going Westernized

Over the past 2 weeks, I've been trying to lose some fats and began exercising and paying attention to what I put into my mouth. I kinda got sick and tired of having oats for dinner almost everyday and so I decided to whip up something healthy, tasty and not 'oh-so-boring' meal for the day!

Here's what Sundae and I had for Dinner today!

It ain't unhealthy lah! The chicken breast fillet is being seasoned over an hour with:
-Lime
-Basil
-Parsley
-Thyme
-Rosemary
-Garlic
-Tiny(and i really mean tiny like tinier than the size of a tiny ant) amt of salt, onion & pepper
-half a teaspoon of Honey

Cubed carrot and potato stir-fried with margerine+garlic+parsley

Nothing really unhealthy right? :)

The side dish was good, sweet carrot and fragrant potato. But the chicken was kinda like hard and chewy. Don't know if it's the texture of chicken breast itself, or the lime was too acidic for the meat. Overall taste was average. But I bet my Dad would not eat this. Haha! As for Chris, he vowed to eat whatever I'd cook! Hehe!

Against any biasness, this is what I've prepared for Little Miss Brown.

Cool right? Like a bunny's idea of a buffet salad bar! She loves the shredded carrot and her all time favourite Xiao Bai Cai, but hated the green peppers and took only a lil of that parsley.

See what the naughty girl did @ the end of the day! Play with food! Mischevious!

Hehe, she was so happy that she binky-ed loads today. It was so amusing to be able to catch her jumping, or rather, prancing up and down the whole time. Joy of having pets.

Till next time, gotta head back to the books.

And so my first Coach-es

Boyfriend told me I'll be getting a Coach sling & a wallet, they're so NOT from Factory Outlet hor. Keke. That got me happy, very happy.

I was asked what else I need. Watch? Shopping bag? Ipod? Can't think of any yet, but he better be sure he has more money for my new phone when he's back! Lalala~

Seems like things there are rather affordable. Just Imagine a pair of Levi's Jeans @ USD37!

Been studying on an average of 3hours-4hours daily for the past 1 week. Hope to stay this way until the exams are here. One big problem, is that, I'm afraid that I might not have enough questions to practice on. The lecturer insisted on giving out the extras only to students who are attending the Revision Course.

Going for it means a whopping $185 lesser in my pockets. I'm only left with not more than a four-digit bank balance to last me till exams are over. (thank god for boyfriend) So I hope whoever is reading this, and has extra Financial Accounting MCQ questionaires to share, please tell me!!

Really hope that I can pass, well! What motivates me is the prize winner's prize. Ace every module and the school's gonna pay me back whatever I paid to them! More than that, I WANT to succeed this time round.

Enough of all lengthy post, I promise I'll post pictures on the next update ya? It's been the uttermost boring 2 weeks of my life. But with him being away, I can really concentrate on studies and be independent all over again.

So I am proud to annouce, I've been eating healthy and exercising diligently throughout the week. Cycled to and fro nearby places when I need to get stuffs, jogged with Sundae on alternate days, skipped loads and "Wii-Fit"-ed in goal to gain back my beautiful waiste-line(which had since been non-existence 2years ago.)

current temptation - Long John Sliver get out of my sight!

till then,

A new phone, he says!

Yippy!

Can't wait for baby to get back in late November! Not only I miss him so much, but he has also promised me a new phone when he's back.

The initial plan was to get a nokia e71, and probably a subsidised Apple Itouch as well cos my Ipod Nano is like half dead. M1 took me by surprised last week by announcing that they'll be bringing Iphone by the end of the year!

Double yayness!

Hope it'll not be too costly. :)

I wished time would fly, but then again, I wish I have enough time to study. My home's environment ain't very condusive for intese revision. Sigh.

Mad busy!

I realised I kinda like disappeared the past few weeks. I've been really busy with school and especially with tuitions which takes up all of my free time during the weekdays, and on weekends, I'm usually obliged to return to Dad's place for early dinner.

Sometimes I feel suffocated with all the schedules I have to adhere to, which leaves me little time for R&R, let alone revision.

Now, I'm stuck between being glad & worried.

Reason? All my students will be having their exams at almost the same time! That leaves me income-less after next Wednesday! How can I not be worried when I only have that little to see me through till end of December?

On the other hand, this will free up more time for my studies. I NEED to pass my papers well. Being mediocre is not my thing anymore. Want to be something, be the best.

I always felt that my potentials are always being hindered by this thing call Arrogance, it is nothing but a bad trait as the proverbs says "Arrogance diminishes wisdom".

So, the plan is to dedicate every Monday, Tuesday & Friday at least 2hours for study. I'll start slow and steady with realistic goal. It'll be good if I can pass 3hour mark for easch session as this is how long I take on a usual twice a week study session.

There's class tomorrow, I'll come by again to update when I have the time. :)

Fulfilling Weekend

Was too busy to post this up last week. heh. Baminton, kite flying and prawning!

This little pig was running around disturbing us with her frisbee! Bugging each and everyone one of us to make it fly for her!

Finally got her Daddy's attention but then she felt tired.

Preferred running around freely on the greens.

Her cartoon face!

@ Farmway LRT, where most of Sengkang-ians go to fly their huge kites

Our Humble and tiny kites could only fly short and low.

It was fun nonetheless!

More exciting weekends coming! Looking forward to tomorrow!

hoping for a good weather

Potato the Big Baby

It initial planwas to bring him to the park nearby and let him swim in the sea. But! I was kinda afraid that he might be uncontrollable since it's my first time bringing him out, I decided to play it safe. A swim at the enclosed pool in Petgamart was a better choice.

The silly boy, did not know it was a pool, stepped into it clumsily and got the scare of his life!

Close up on his terrified look

Chris braved into the pool full of fur to keep Potato company, encouraging him to put all his 4 paws into the water

We gave up trying, perhaps he'll do better on a weekend with more dogs enticing him to the pool

He loved us!

Manja lil big boy

He's super 'yang orh' one leh!

You think showering big dogs easy? NO HOR! Within 5 mins, I was yelling for Chris to help me out! WHAHAHAHA. Showering Sundae and Jordan Or even Paris together also not as tiring as just showering Potato alone!

His super miserable face. Ahahahaha!

Can you resist him? Hee

He walks like a wild dog while on harness, took the liberty to buy him a half choke collar from Petgamart. He did was a lot better while on the way home, restraining him was a lot easier too!

Looking forward to meeting him again next week! He's such a lovely boy!

badminton & kite flying for today!
