CNY Is Approaching

CNY is approaching, and at many places, people are seting up stalls selling CNY goodies, sweets and whatsnots.

After dinner at a small Japanese eatout, on Friday night, Chris saw this and he looked at it so greedily. And so, I bought 1 to satisfy his cravings. He has a thing for muah chee + red bean combo. At $2.20 for a small little piece, a tad pricey, it sure is worth the value!

Sweet shopping at UMEYA. Cute little sweets. A small lil mix & match pack at $2.50.

Headed off to Chinatown for Desserts the next day. Yeap, it was a sunny Saturday.

Look at the Crowd!

At this particular stall, we stood by and curiously checked out what's interesting. Mix & Match going at $1.80 per 100gm for muah-chee & taiwan jelly. We were kinda scammed.

As we looked at the wide variety available, the uncle there kept opening the muah-chees for us to try. Tried about 3 pieces, we thought it'll be so bad not to buy anything. So we picked up a bag and started putting about ten over pieces of muah-chee in. While the uncles kept shouting "Free to try! Free to try!!" to the passerbys.

Here in this picture, Chris was trying the Taiwan Jellos.

What happened was, the cost of the Jellos were higher, from what the old man told the younger man who allowed Chris to try, so we picked about 6pcs into the bag, and asked the man to calculate how much should we be paying.

On the weighing scale, it showed about 600gm++ then the uncle was like "not enough lah, pick a few more, a few more Jellos will do." We were quite reluctant. So I picked up another 2 Jellos to about 800gm++ and asked the unclehow much.

He said "$18." Very scammed loh! Then he put in some extras like 6-8pcs more muah-chees and 2 more Jellos to make it more or less 1kg.

Felt so cheated can! Chris said UMEYA was selling the exact same Jellos at $6.90 for 12 pieces, in a nice box somemore! ARGHZ!

Anyways, after Chinatown, we went down to Junction8 to buy my CNY clothes. Saw this ROSEY dress at Purpur last weekend and finally bought it after much thoughts. Dress + belt + leggings combo at $59.80. Thanks Baby!

Happy me!

Not much places to visit as compared to when younger. CNY Eve Dinner be wearing last year's top [worn only twice] + a short. Then either the the dress or a white babydoll top + silver 3quarters for day 1 & 2. Will be wearing a casual slip in PUMA shoes. Comfy is the top priority for my feet now.

Needa shop for accessories now. Prolly just a pair of earrings and a simple necklace. Got $10 birthday Voucher from Moshi Moshi!! So many things to buy, gotta try my luck to get some cash from Dad. :P

He usedto give each of us about $300 to shop for our own stuffs for CNY. But being hit with the condo loan problem and maintenance problem, plus I'm not supposed to be asking $$ from him after turning 21, I hope he'll at least give me $100, and I'll happy.

22nd is approaching too. Time past damn freaking fast. I'm eyeing on a camera, Fujifilm S2000HD. I guess Chris's gonna buy it for me!! Yippeee...

On a sidenote, I need a job fast, by february to be exact [rule laid down by chris]! Temp job/part-time/whatever lah, so long it's office hours from mondays to fridays.

i heart him!
